Welcome to Sugar Creek Charter School. Our faculty and our staff provide students and parents with an inviting atmosphere where our goal is to assist students to become the best and the brightest in Charlotte. Our school houses Kindergarten through the eighth grade. We offer our students a balanced academic program in our core curriculum with a strong emphasis on reading and math. Our school also offers students many “special” programs for enrichment and fulfillment such as Character Education, Computers, PE, Art and Music. Sugar Creek Charter students have many services available to them throughout the school day. These include:  Exceptional Children (EC) services, full-time nursing care, and a part-time mental health professional.

Students and teachers at our school have been working very hard improving reading and math scores. We ended our 7th year successfully with 78% in reading meeting both our state growth goals an AYP. Besides improving academics, our students and faculty continue to implement our “Code of Civility” focusing on character education. Our faculty and staff feel that educating students for responsible citizenship is part of our responsibility to children. Our school has begun a renewed focus on technology as an instructional tool. Teachers and students are offered more access to technology and to the Internet.

We feel that we offer students, teachers, and parents a safe learning environment. It is our goal to assist students in meeting their academic and personal potential. We appreciate you and invite you to come visit us personally here any time.
